June 2012: after a 911 call from his house in Fayette County he was arrested on misdemeanor charges of simple battery and cruelty to children. He denied it in a statement released by his lawyer. In January 2013 the charge was dropped after a pretrial intervention program (an anger-management course, probation reporting, about $1,000 in fees); the solicitor said 'the case against him is over'. An allegation he has consistently denied: no trial, no conviction.
